No, it's not. Have you ever been outside of the Tier-3 cities in China? It's third-world levels of electrification and development generally speaking. For reference, that's 800 million people, 60% of the population, living in the absolute shit.

And ASIC fabrication depends on Taiwanese semiconductors anyway. No reason why the US can't leapfrog them in 4 years if there's an interest and it makes economic sense to move production to the US instead.

China’s energy capacity per capita is projected to reach parity with Western standards around the year 2030. It will shoot past that target after that.

ASIC fabrication depends on a company called ASML that produces the machines for lithography, not the factories that produce the chips themselves.
