Learn to walk away at times. It's like trying to crunch for a test and all you do is begin to confuse yourself at times. Walk away and let it absorb.

Schedule a certain time of the day to focus on learning whatever it is you’re trying to learn. Then make sure to do it every day.

Know in advance what the payoff is.
I find that if I know that the benefit far outweighs the difficulty, it's easier to stick to it.
The inverse also applies; If I determine that the payoff is low compared to the effort required, I drop it like a hot potato.
