Use #Umbrel or #Start9 to run one if you can. You will also need to run a standard bitcoin node.

You can also check out voltage.cloud

Thank you!

If you have no experience at all opening channels I'd start with Blixt or Zeus [embedded node] to get a feel for it. These aren't for routing, but for spending and receiving. They're a good place to start for beginners who want to get started with running a node. It'll teach you about liquidity and fees. Btc Sessions has some good tutorials if you do end up wanting to run a routing node. Feel free to ask questions!

Thanks! Appreciate the info.

If you want instant gratification then check out https://cashu.space/

Do this while your blockchain is syncing on your own node.

self-hosted hardware or cloud?

Be aware that a #Lightning node is a hot wallet.

Always be sure you have the correct backup of your channel

Don't expect to have a profit immediatly if you want have a route node. It may take time

Thanks for the info.

I think I’ll go with something like a Start9 hardware setup.

Noted.. I’ll be sure to back it up, and not be looking for profit for a while. I’m mostly interested in the experience of running it.

#Thunderhub and #RideTheLightning are two web interface that allow you to manage your lightning node. You can give them a check for decide which to use

A way to obtain channels with you is cooperate with other nodes. You can check the site below for that in the future
