I think people are too worried about what other people are zapping. It’s awesome that we have the technology and can zap each other it’s also dope to be able to change the settings to visible or invisible but ranking systems makes it all feel disingenuous.

I miss a ton here, and I'm aware it's an open protocol and there are degrees to embracing that, but the less gamified and trending algorithmic feel it has to me the better. And personally not using many other clients it's hard to gauge what others' actual view of Nostr is. Part of me likes nostr.band to keep an eye on what I've sent versus received. Part of me hates the only way that works is if it's public.
But trendy stuff be damned 😮💨
