There is nothing wrong with if you want to delete an event / post etc... I agree with you, corrections and amendments should all be public.
Discussion
If you give user the power to force deletions, you remove the need for accountability.
Thats not related with accountability. Anyways we have no common ground. Thanks for the insight. Cheers.
It has everything to do with accountability. The legacy media is full of examples. You post some false information or outrageous coment, you stir the wasps nest, then you take down the post but never retract.
If some one complains, you say you removed the post. You never backtracked the (miss)information, you muddied the waters to benefit your goals, and some people will never hear again from the matter, so in their mind that information is still true. That's lack of accountability.
You are blaming each and everyonw with suspicious sharing bla bla. Change tour mind.
Basically I may want to delete anything that I wrote or posted. I could do a mistake, that may need deletion. I could change my mind, about something, that may need deletion. And I may just want to delete something that I no longer like.
Deletion is a right, take your accountability with you and enjoy. Go.
If you make a mistake, you can just point that out in a comment to the original note. If you change your mind or don't like something you posted, you can amend your note on a coment/boost and maybe explain what made you change your mind. That's the whole point.
You are the one that needs a change of mind, since you seem to be unable to understand the implications of what you are asking for. You make grandiose staments about how nostr should work, but are unable to have a civil discussion about the ramifications of your proposed changes.
Anyway, you're getting too triggered just because I disagree with you, so here's a little piece of advice: Stay humble or GFY.
