Well I'm sorry man but this is exactly what the Israeli government says about the Palestinians. I can't rightly say that genocide doesn't work - because it sort of did in Rwanda - but only in the way that suicide solves all your personal problems for good. I think the root cause of the Israel problem is the bloody belligerence of the administration and the state-sponsored armed "settlers" who just invade other people's homes and don't have to fear any consequences. Zionism as a movement is essentially a relic of the late 19th century and shares its origin with ultra-nationalist and fascist movements in Europe at the time. The only reason it can continue unhindered is because of the massive support it gets from mainly the US and Europe. So cutting that would go a long way and yes, having more nuclear armed countries in the region (think Iran, Saudi, Eqypt) would also help counter-balance things. Ideally, though, all governments around the world would just give up their weapons, fuck off and leave people in peace.
