for the purpose of nostr, bitcoin, lightning, tor, and this lifestyle, I recommend a Linux phone if possible yes. Otherwise any phone that supports #LineageOS or flashing any custom ROM. GrapheneOS is popular with most of my follows on nostr, however, I do not recommend purchasing a Google product for this purpose. The whole point is to get away from the GOOG! LineageOS can be tweaked and have the same apps installed but its also pure open source android (well as close to it as you can get). Otherwise, yes get a Linux Phone! That would be awesome. If find a good one please share, I would like to migrate to a Linux phone for sure. Currently running LineageOS on Motorola and Samsung phones. Not ideal either now, but still a step in the right direction until i can get my hands on a decent purely GNU phone that "works".
