Where do you look? My follower count varies by 1500 or more depending on when I check. I know it doesn’t matter, but I am curious.

Honestly that’s probably good for my ego. I may be able to know generally how many people follow me but I don’t know the exact number. Unless of course you use a relay aggregator to get a pretty accurate number.
I just clicked the follower button on Damus and it takes like ten seconds to do its best job counting
Based on nostrs implementation I suppose you could never really expect to get the legitimate number
It’s also probably very computationally heavy
I kind of like getting different numbers every time. Means I don’t need to care about it. I’d turn it off entirely if I could.

Ah yeah that is what I have fone to check. Ill get everything from 1500 to 4000. It has made me realize more than ever that follower count is unimportant unless you are building a business or brand.
