I am totally confused about kyc/non kyc in a world where they can just claim aml and confiscate everything. #bitcoin help me out here. Is there any point? And what if you had say 10m sats stashed, in the future that's going to draw a lot of red flags.

I have an original KYC stack from before I knew better. Half of that I whirlpooled. And any stacking after a certain point has been Non-KYC.
That old stack is the just in-case there's a point in time that I can't sell non-kyc and need buy/pay-off something.
So, hedging my bets to prepare for anything.
