The first visualisation I built for bitcoin:
It is a heatmap which shows the profitability of every buy and sell date in the history of bitcoin.
The time line goes from top left to bottom right, and the further you go up and to the right, the longer you're holding bitcoin.
This visual shows that - historically speaking - long term holding always turns positive. There is a line drawn over the heatmap, the hodl line, where beyond this line each point is positive. E.g. whenever you entered, after 5 years and 1 month, your hold would be green.
