At the beginning of the 80s, #EU #economy was at the level of #US.
In 2000, the #Lisbon #Strategy was adopted.
Goal: To make EU a strong player by 2010.
The result can be called a fiasco!
The EU is deliberately expanding to include "poorer" economies. USA is not.
