The time was 35605. I have been training for a whole year, since running my first marathon in October 2022.

I run 2 half marathon races as part of the prep, one in March and one in June.

But I'm not happy with my time. I still have work to do.

I find a sub four marathon to be very impressive!

Are you going to take on another one, or have you satisfied your ambition?

I'm not much of a runner myself, the only exception I make is if there's a ball in front of me... ⚽

Thank you.

I will run more marathons.

Last year, at my first marathon, I was targeting 4 hours 20 min and the pacers for that time was a couple in their 70s.

I felt both humbled and inspired.

I ended up completing that first marathon in 4h 38 min and the husband finished ahead of me.

I want to run marathons when I’m in my 70s.

Yesterday I came across the same pacer during the race and gave him a shoutout. Thanked him for his inspiration.

Yeah, older folks who have been active for a major part of their grown up lives are massively inspiring.

A man I live close to kept doing +2500 m summits well into his 70s and with 80+ he's still walking for an hour every morning.
