BREAKING REPORT: ⚠️ Hackers may have stolen the Social Security numbers of every American.

Initial reports indicate 2.9 BILLION records were compromised.

Teresa Murray, the consumer watchdog director for the U.S. Public Information Research Group, warned that the breach, which contains Social Security numbers and other sensitive information, could lead to a surge in identity theft, fraud, and other criminal activities.

“If this in fact is pretty much the whole dossier on all of us, it certainly is much more concerning” than prior breaches, Murray said in an interview. “And if people weren’t taking precautions in the past, which they should have been doing, this should be a five-alarm wake-up call for them.” per L.A times

I think the system is dumb, why have a number in the first place that’s personal and shouldn’t be shared but required to be shared in certain situations, I’m not familiar with system, but it doesn’t make any sense to me

I'm sure they will point out the dumbness while introducing us to digital IDs , I suppose SSN is just has private has your name , I suppose it when it's connected to your name ECT ECT that it becomes a problem not great coming up to election either wouldn't of thought 🤔
