Tradition holds that #SaintAndrew, after Pentecost, preached the Gospel in the lands around the Black Sea, including what is now Romania. He is considered the patron saint of Romania. Legend says that he established the first Christian communities there. He suffered martyrdom in Patras, Greece, being crucified on an X-shaped cross.
