Had my quarterly meeting with my financial advisor last week. We discussed how to move my IRA into one of the bitcoin etf’s. There are A LOT of restrictions.
I have to sign a form saying I understand it’s a “high risk investment.” I’m only allowed to invest 15% of my IRA in a bitcoin ETF.
I think I orange pilled him a little though. I made the case for sound money. Then added “what if people like you “financial advisors” start telling their clients to invest 1% or 2% of their future IRA contributions into bitcoin ETF’s? Just in case”
His response was that bitcoin ETF’s would be one of the largest market caps available to US investors within a year or two.
Then I explained the upcoming halving. He agreed to work diligently to get my money moved before the beginning of April.
I think he’s just doing good customer service. But I also think I started that “spark” of bitcoin enthusiasm in a 70 year old financial advisor 😀
