There are three core Nostr innovations:
- Write a more-or-less vague description of a json file structure you wish to use to communicate over the Internet and publish the description on the Internet.
- Set up servers to read those files and clients to write them.
- Use a npub/nsec key combination to cryptographically identify entities writing the files.
Everything else is noise.
You do not need to know anything else to use Nostr.
You do not need to coordinate further to develop on Nostr.
You do not need permission.
I guess it doesn't even need to be json. 🤔
