I opened my first lightning channel today 🎉 thank you #nostr for making me go down this rabbit hole 🤙 my zaps will be coming from my own node from now on ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I’m running bitcoin core and core lightning on ubuntu server, will be sharing my setup in more detail soon! Thanks to #[1] and #[2] for providing tools and docs 🙏

Nice work! Took me a while to figure out inbound liquidity, spend to earn seemed least complicated!

Love having everything local. This magic internet money is tangible and real, I can touch the box it lives in.

It’s an incredible feeling.

Finally for the third time after restarting got bitcoin core running and sparrow connected.

Next is to start reading up on this lightning stuff for like... a year.
