Seems some people don’t understand how slashing government works… the idea is not to give breaks to the “good causes” because govt is an inefficient allocator and incentives are complete skewed once free money is expected. The whole point is to slash indiscriminately so that the private sector can allocate much more efficiently.

Except that the private sector isn't going to allocate anything to things that citizens clearly value but that are not profitable (when measured in $)
So… they value it but won’t fund anything. Must be stolen from. Got it.
