No one's probably going to come looking, unlike in the 'free' West.
You should consider getting a PO box also since the FCC exposes your address with your call sign.
Government licensing processes have a lot in common with how bread molds.
What's worst case likely scenario if you don't get the license and operate an illegal HAM? Does law enforcement actually find people doing that and jail/fine them? Or is this like a tearing the tag off the mattress kind of thing?
