It's not attention span imo, it's lack of interest. A video can have all the markers of an attention grabbing short but still be skipped over due to its content.
It's like if you went on YouTube but all the long form content was in the infinite vertically scrolling format. Chances are you would only watch 3-7 videos out of the 100 that come in your feed.
