Apple products should not be worth the premium price tag that comes with their name. I say "should not" because clearly (and sadly) they are to some people, or they couldn't get away with charging those prices. A mid range Android device with an unlocked bootloader & running Googleless Android does everything I need.
However, there are plenty of Android clients better than Amethyst.
1. Nostros (my prefered client)
2. Plasma (missing features still but worth watching)
3. Plebstr (not open a.source)
4. Nostrid (has builds for numerous environments)
