While I can agree that some of the noise pollution that these guys are experiencing is a travesty and marathon should do something to try to rectify this situation I definitely can't help but when I watch this video see that this outlet of media had a certain type of agenda because they didn't ever try to go to the other side of the aisle and say Hey what is so important about this Bitcoin Mining thing why is it that you guys are doing this they only framed it from this is a negative point of view type of thing that we're shilling you know 2017 error type of FUD So I can't help but think that there might be some ulterior motives behind this "journalism"
That's where I'm at too. It is clear that the people who created this piece have an anti-Bitcoin agenda but, to be fair, they are also making a good point. Bitcoin is nothing without people. If Bitcoin miners like this are going around pissing off entire communities, they are hurting the Bitcoin movement, not helping it.
I can agree I definitely think this would substantiate those individuals who already have a negative view towards Bitcoin to even further their biases towards it
I have been to the site which is adjacent to a Natural Gas power plant. These people hired their own people to take db measurements and they were told by those engineers that there was no notable difference in sound. I would bet money these poor people in their adjacent trailer park are being paid by the ESG crowd to be provocative.
Thank you for sharing the benefit of your experience. I wouldn't be surprised if there were shenanigans afoot with respect to this issue in all sorts of dark corners. We know about the Skull of Satoshi. It's not like we've never been attacked by some propaganda campaign before, so this may very well be similar.
That said, based on what some of these folks are saying, they're dealing with serious health problems that they believe are a result of the noise. We are definitely receptive to frequencies, especially audible ones. Noise like that would definitely drive me nuts.
Can you elaborate on the "no notable difference in sound" bit? Difference between what and what?
