i actually really like this use case as well. it would be nice to run a dump of all followers and following pubkeys prior to destruction too.

I found out today follows are client side... Currently using astral.ninja and you can see all your local data including follows in the chrome dev tools. Go to application, local storage, astrial.ninja. There you can grab config, keys, follows and relays.

this is actually useful to dump follows, but what about following. i don't see that.

'Follows' key is following. I don't think you can see who follows you as it's (their) client side?
