I haven't been following the story clowely. Have their protests a while back not made their politicians to change their minds?

I’m no expert on the subject.
But from my understanding Dutch farmers are going broke and getting moved off their land by the government. And now they giving out fines to Dutch farmers for nitrogen emissions. Nitrogen makes up like 75% of the air we breathe. They want to kill the cows due to cows farts supposedly causing climate change.
Basically the Netherlands produces the majority of Europes meat supply so it’s intentional food supply destruction.
