I have been using it since TrueCrypt was abandoned and it's awesome, I guess your problem is that they have a dual license? But since one is the GPL I don't see a problem there?

You don't have to trust Cryptomator blindly, because it is open source software. For you as a user, this means that everyone can see the code.
