Could be an existential crisis for many, but NFTs can be more than just JPEGs.

I tell friends that while I believe that the ‘idea’ of nft’s feels directionally correct (theres something there outside of just jpegs and speculation) 99.999% of it all is nothing but scams and grifters distracting people from what really matters. I don’t think realistically they are going away, so its better to find and work on real use cases and functionalities than trading crappy computer generated jpegs.

There’s just so many fiat distractions out there and sadly all the glimmer and flash keeps people from helpful truths.

That’s true. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being positive. Fees aren’t an issue since we have viable L2’s. (Sucks to be eth). Even NFTs can have reduced fees on liquid. 4mb blocks propagate just fine. Really a nothingburger. Still a lesson learned. Changes to the code will lead to potentially unintended consequences.
