There were projects to circumvent, but google took them down with a DMCA notice. Maybe they still exist somewhere, This is the shittiest piece of software currently installed on all phones and mainstream laptops and we don't even know what it does and it's scary because it has very low level access to your devices. It's called widevine, if you want to read up on it.

So far I am able to reproduce the content people are posting here from YouTube and Spotify (two pieces I've just seen on the feed now). I get I wouldn't be able to go on Amazon Prime, or Netflix and shit?
I think Netflix does let you view content without widevine at a low resolution, you'll have to test, most OTT platforms won't let you access contents without it
