Wow… I don’t know much about the eye, but that seems huge!
They were big! And the lens starts out clear (so you can see through it), some of these were almost black…horrible vision

Yes! It’s a very rewarding surgery. Most patients can only see light, maybe a hand moving, so are functionally blind before surgery.
