Maybe a dumb question, but is there any way to audit the hashrate they’re supposedly sending to the pool?

Yes they have a way of viewing it I think

Cool. That’s good if there’s a way! Because if not, cloud mining sounds like the best scam ever to take people’s sats.

“Buy some hashrate” and numbers are propped up on the pool, but no actual hashrate from 3rd party mining rigs is actively being allocated based on what you paid, and it’s just numbers on a dashboard go up.

Meanwhile, the sats are pocketed and it’s labeled as “a lottery” so you don’t feel bad if no blocks are mined and no reward gained.

Ironic, Proof of work being used to swindle people out of their sats. The truth is, mining is a rough game and not for the faint of heart. If you’re going to make money mining it’s going to take time, there’s no way to short cut the process.

Yeah it does kinda feel sketchy to me too

I have a bitaxe pointed to them and i do find my btc address on the ck pool website. Its a long list

Nice! I was more curious about the cloud mining side of it, rather than solo miners pointing their asics to the pool

I hope they add the hash because i also bought hash hahahaha

I’m not really sure I guess
