I think it’s mainly due to the perceived threat of being an outlier. Billions of dollars are spent annually by people chasing some edge relative to the broader market. You don’t get fired by being slightly below a broader index. You do get fired for being way off the index. And in the case where your client holds significant bitcoin assets, they quickly realize they don’t need the traditional asset advisor at all! So it’s a threat to their business model.
