Trump’s strategy seems so obvious to me, amazing so many still fall for it. It’s just a game of chicken over and over again.

And the TDS crowd does him a huge favor by amplifying the idea that he’s an idiot, dangerous and crazy.

"It’s WWIII! We’re all gonna die!"

Even on nostr, the simpletons are like “see, he’s doing Netanyahu’s bidding! Regime change! The JOOOOOOOOOSSSSSS!!!!!!!”

I’ll take the L and admit I’m wrong if this happens, but don’t see another Iraq or world war with him bombing sites with no one in them.

Still think @EvanwritesonX on Twitter has it right — theater for the benefit of the warmongers ahead of a peace deal.

But we’ll see.

Dubious IMO. He’s a rational actor with his own agenda, as are all principals in this conflict.

Abandoning Israel / Middle East still seems like it would have been the best outcome.

@evanwritesonX says he IS abandoning Israel, letting the Gulf States run the Middle East, normalize and neuter Iran. Seems more plausible to me than the counter narrative which is that he’s controlled. If he were controlled, why did they try to kill him. And if that were fake, were the lawsuits and prosecutions fake too?

This doesn't look like abandoning Israel. Giving them weapons to bomb random neighbors. He could've dealt directly with Palestinians.

But I would rather have a good outcome than hate on my favourite president so I hope you're right.

I don't know for sure, but if you were going to cut Israel loose over the objection of its powerful backers, you wouldn’t just announce it and cause them to resist with everything they have. You’d half-support them while negotiating a peace that disempowers their hawks and undermines their aims.
