Hard to calculate but “Around 68% of all energy produced in the US actually ends up being wasted through various inefficiencies”

Does that include the inefficiency of simply transmitting it long distances over power lines? There’s a lot of loss in that process. I wouldn’t necessarily call that “stranded”, but it does show a mismatch of supply and demand between the location it’s created and the location it’s needed.

Transmission loss isn’t stranded per se, but finally people/hashrate can go to electricity (stranded or not) and utilize it vs. transmission to people.

So much waste in transmission loss. Not to mention cost of infrastructure.

So much opportunity for Bitcoin to mop up inefficiency.

If Bitcoin is a freedom protocol (arguably the only one left to challenge the dire alternatives + Damus) — if it is not mining bitcoin (outside of various necessity)— it must be questioned.
