My take is that freedom of speech is the fundamental issue that Nostr addresses and Bitcoin is the distraction.

Indeed, Nostr was always about censorship resistance and it's all the core protocol provides.

New users find most posts about Bitcoin and leave if they're not as obsessed with it, because it distracts them from the benefits of Nostr.
