It was explained to me that the only difference with the paid for relays is when posting content. You can still use them for free to receive the feed.

There should be some relay suggestions in Damus that you can add.

I’ve paid for nostr.milou.lol and puravida.nostr.land

I can’t honestly say I’ve noticed any difference.

So that shouldn’t be a priority for now atleast. If the amount of users and volume of posts increases, having paid for relays will become a huge privilege regarding my feed experience

Yep otherwise you’ll likely be inundated with spam and bots.
