Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' persecution. Ermil openly confessed his faith, enduring torture while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly. When his faith was discovered, Stratonic embraced martyrdom alongside Ermil. After severe beatings, they were cast into the Danube.

Lord, through their holy prayers, strengthen our resolve to defend the faith, even unto death.
