What’s a zap? They don’t have that on Reddit or Twatter so this must be something new. Is it another way or form of sending “likes”?

It's basically a way to send Bitcoin.
It's through a protocol called lightning, which is different than the Blockchain.
It uses the Bitcoin blockchain for security. Lightning is Bitcoin.
Bitcoin's blockchain is analogous to the court system, lightning is written contracts between parties. 99% of contracts never see the inside of a courtroom because a well-written contract helps make the courtroom outcome predetermined and people generally don't sign contracts they don't think they can fulfill. But the court is always there to enforce it if need be. Bitcoin enforces lightning contracts perfectly without any off days, holidays, or mistakes.
A zap is the highest form of digital appreciation. You are sending tiny forms of bitcoin, which in essence is your time and efforts.
I love this. Almost like a monetary re-enlightenment on a philosophical level.
I’m working on getting my lightning wallet issue resolved (having trouble with my primal wallet/lightning address not allowing me to receive/send “zaps” 😫)
Welcome! The easiest way to get started with zaps is coinos. They store your zaps, so don't store huge amounts there. https://coinos.io/
Once you have a "lightning address" like oldcryptodude@coinos.io, then you can paste that into your nostr client and you're off to the races.
Zaps are a lot of fun. It's sending small (or large!) amounts of BTC to people. If you set it up, reply to lmk and I'll send you a test zap to verify it's working.

Relays are websites which make up the social network so when you post to multiple relays your reaching out to more people. There's paid relays & free ones paid ones charge you when you write a post to them.
Ip is exposed dms are not public dm-reporter will timestamp them on it's profile for public knowledge. You need to add a wallet before you can receive sats check out wallet of satoshi or alby to add to your profile.
A zap is the action of sending sats (money) from one person to another so when you receive sats you've been zapped!
