Based. It took me almost a decade to recover from someone close to me insulting me of my flaws. Still have bad dreams about it every once in a while. But now I stick to my gun and they can fuck off if they don't appreciate me for what I stand for.
In general humans are unreasonably adverse to negative outcomes... Like with risk calculations.
