NIP-26 as of right now but maybe there are better ideas already 🤷♂️
Discussion
Fiatjaf said nip26 will be the death of nostr. He might be exaggerating, but delegations does seem like a quick hack with unintended consequences.
Personally, I would like to see multi sig and multi key derivation management tools.
#[3] so what’s wrong with NIP 26 ? Pls explain like I’m 3 years old
But then you won't be able to read the explanation.

Here's your answer: https://fiatjaf.com/4c79fd7b.html
Thank you ! I would agree with you that the NIP-26 might become not an option but will enforce clients to implement it. I’m wondering is there any way to avoid it 🤔 Or the only one is just not to implement 🤪
There is no way to avoid anything. If a big enough client decides to implement non-backwards-compatible changes to the protocol the protocol gets bloated and bloated. The incentives are not in the right place for these things. Luckily most people (all people so far?) are well-intentioned, so we just need to share our concerns and be cautious and wise, and promote client decentralization such that no single client can capture the protocol.
