True. I would add also that it applies to ourself as well. We are both the subject (seat of consciousness) and yet have an objective relationship with ourself.

The self is ever present. Without what you said, we won't be able to "connect" with others on a deeper level. Only at surface... Only by nurturing self and balance yin and yang, we can go further and truly connect. Also, becoming more aware and mindful of how our actions impact others.
