One more bounty I'm thinking of making;
Google Groups but on Nostr
- There are still a lot of communities there.
- Should be super easy.
- Could be monetized.
- Could be easy to brand it and custom domain it.
- Better than email.
- Could support public and private.
Anyone already working on this?
Ps: this mailing list replacement bounty is very important as gnumail is fully centralized.

Yup. Facebook groups are the lowest common denominator UX of niche communities.
Horrible product that only works because niche networks effects are almost impossible to bootstrap.
Not any more.
Location based groups, like city or town, are something people always like to join. Definitely something missing today from Nostr. I’ve wondered who is using Nostr in the cities I’ve traveled through the past year.. asking and hoping you’re seen in global chat isn’t exactly effective today.
And often the location based groups are hybrid physical good / rental marketplaces too. All possible on Nostr.
Google Groups? Idk what is. Facebook groups is a big thing to go after that should be relatively straightforward.
