True, but that's a fact of the free market, more competitive bounties imply that the supply of people who can/could complete is high, and the demand increases as over time (represented by the number/amount of zaps on said bounty) so it evens out.
This not gonna work in open source environment. People will not be paying for subscriptions they will be chasing and switching between clients to use the same set of the features for free

How? Bitcoin is free too, you're basically making the case for altcoins. Devs are incentived to provide features to get users.
