Having a beard means sometimes having dry skin. nostr:npub19pj6f0nc9q6xr26qe3g8m6xe3hwe0d6p6zcvf57cm3kayghjdj0slnlenu suggested I try the beef tallow in our 'fridge. Been walking around wafting beef all day.

8/10 will not do this again. But maybe.

beef tallow …maybe doesn’t fix this?

thank you for your contribution! 👀

Requires more testing. But I will say this: my beard has been glistening.

I've been wanting to try some sort of like tallow moisturizer because I have some definitely dry skin but smelling like beef would not be fun.

Yeh, can't say I've enjoyed it. I suggest going with the made-as-moisturizer versions.

grab your vitamin E oral supplement , pop it with a needle and use the oil coming out of it on your skin , don’t leave it for too long wash it well after and do this once every few days , you can use it as a daily lip balm too

Try a humidifier at night.

Home made beard oil.

idk how I’d feel about beef tallow on my face all day

Maybe coconut oil instead?

I’m a fan. 🥥

My experience is that coconut oil soothes, but your skin acclimates and ends up wanting it more.

Hemp seed oil/butter however 👌

Did not know this 😳. I rarely have to moisturize my beard...

Just dry skin in general, and I've tried a lot 😅. Hemp's been the least problematic for me

this one's quite liquidy though

I just wanted y'all to imagine the nostr yarnlady ostrich with a glorious but itchy beard ☺️

But seriously, what's the shelf life? I rarely need something to moisturize, but when I do...

I've had this one for about a year. It was a big container with the lid cracked, and I mostly fixed my diet so it dried out to a more manageable form before needing to use most of it 🤣 - I'd say if you want more shelf life maybe look for the oil version over the butter, they come in smaller containers. 👍 😄
