A bit of a weird notion to have, especially considering anyone could be a politician, this is literally what the system breeds, Us vs Them narratives.
If you can’t trust absolutely anyone then there’s no point, don’t blame people, blame the system. Not everyone is a bad player in the game.

I don’t claim to be anything, show me one message where I’ve claimed to be a statist.
You’re making that assumption based on my principles of what I think is required for a functioning society, I believe in co-operation and humanity as a collective, if that is statism then cool claim it to be…
My point is blame the system…. When using terminology like "The state" and notions like "never trust a politician" it reinforces the problem, it fuels populism and breeds a victimiser mindset.
And like I said, if you don’t trust absolutely anyone then there’s no point in morality. It’s a somewhat nihilistic viewpoint in the world, you need to have faith in good people. Otherwise you’re an anarchist, and in my view is not the way forward.
