Someone left a comment saying "I'm new to Bitcoin, real estate is still a great investment, great video"
Or something like that.
I took some time and crafted a message back in response.
--‐--------------------
Real estate only goes up in value because they're printing money.
Scarce real estate like farmland or ocean front property will continue going up in real terms but everything else will trend toward zero against bitcoin.
$450 trillion worth of non-utility assets will flow into Bitcoin over the next few decades
And that's because even if you factor in the cash flows and tax savings, Bitcoin's performance MOPS it.
And performance is just one part.
Bitcoin is absolute scarcity.
Real estate is kinda scarce.
Massive difference in absolute scarcity and kinda scarce.
Homes will get cheaper and cheaper to build because of technology and demand will continue to fall.
We cannot create more Bitcoin no matter how much demand there is. And there is going to be a lot.
Bitcoin is much more liquid.
Bitcoin's value can be verified by visiting a website.
Bitcoin is highly divisible.
Bitcoin can be sent to anyone the planet for hardly any fees.
Bitcoin is not affected by hurricanes or floods.
Bitcoin has no maintenance.
Bitcoin has no tenants.
Bitcoin is globally recognized.
And you can buy $5 worth of Bitcoin.
I spent some time on this response because you mentioned you were new to Bitcoin.
Hope that helps. 🫡
