Great article! I guess I’ve had the two takes on Bitcoin & AI. Especially after reading The Sovereign Individual.
My fear would be that people fall prey to the conveniences of AI in a way that only Lionel Shriver could capture. The other take you’ve captured.
I guess in the end it comes down to how people view the human race. Are we innately bad and we need a centralized planner to keep us from destroying ourselves. Enforcement of social welfare, approved takes on the world and a fear of truth. Nihilism and full surveillance. If that’s the case, then what is worth saving. Bitcoin VS. AI?
Or do we trust humans will take care of each other without a state to direct them. Will we embrace the productivity gains with truth as our backstop. Will we have autonomy and hope? Bitcoin And AI
I have hope for the latter but still fear the former. There are some who want “safety” and there’s a fiat-fueled, counterfeit cohort that will promise it to them.
I really feel free & open source, decentralized technology IS the solution, but how do we protect ourselves from “their” “safety” as adoption of AI picks up? I want NOSTR, holepunch, sovereign computing, decentralized platforms to mount a defense. I want to see more people take personal responsibility. How can we help ensure this? Actually looking for some group strategies and brainstorming to Orange Seed. We can’t make people see, but we can point.
How can we present personal responsibility as an exciting endeavor?
Ultimately it is AI & Bitcoin & Humans.
