Violence is political energy.

Sri Lankans didn’t chase their President out of the country with fists full of rupees; they torched buildings, stoned the riot police and marched on the palace til he had to retreat.

Polite society looks down on wanton violence because it is destructive to the social fabric. Doesn’t delegitimise it’s effectiveness or negate it’s energy potential.

Sri Lanka is a failed state. Now tell me about China, Hong Kong, etc. There's no opportunity for violence if the police and army are well-funded.

Stop funding the state at first, then we'll see if there's any need for violence.

Violence isn't political energy; it's the force that opposes political energy.

And, historically, it was the only one available to the masses when the political elite got too far out of line.

I hope that Bitcoin is helping us enter a new phase where opting out of the fiat system is a viable and effective way to take power/money/etc from the political class and force meaningful change.

Controlling the monopoly on violence is.

Totally with you on fiat off-ramp to bitcoin on-ramp. That’s how people could avoid the violence and begin to flourish all whilst defanging the State.
