I’m afraid the knowledge isn’t enough. The brain is prone to addiction, since it’s a highly effective system also for all the beneficial regular stuff we do. Alcoholics who do fight that can’t have a sip until the end of their lives. That strong system it is. A nice book about how it is for the addict on a socially accepted drug wrote Matty Perry from The Friends, before he died. Usually books on addiction are about hard drug addicts and I never felt the connection, but this one got me.

Yes, of course that's true. But I have found that quite a lot of people start to recognize this when they understand the mechanisms of manipulation and then consciously pay attention to them. And I'm only talking about media manipulation.
In my case, I can hardly watch or listen to a news program without shaking my head. No matter from which side or from which country...
And I think your description of the mechanisms of deep indoctrination is very good.
