Noob question.

(I have no idea what is gift wrapping but I can guess)

Assuming this is a JIT key creation for nested auth of sending messages, if messages are encrypted and there is no way to tell who sent or received them, what is the remaining issue? (aside from the fact the receiving party has no way to validate)

There is still metadata to be leaked to untrusted relays. It's also hard to guarantee forward secrecy and post compromise security. Nostr messages will probably never be good enough for high risk communication.
