It does.

If you ever visit Turkey, I’d recommend some restaurants. Döner seems like a easy to cook but it doesn’t. Eating it from an usta (a mastercook) is really important.

This is not even acceptable in Germany.

Fun fact: The Germans, or better the Turks in Germany really think they invented döner kebap in the 60's.

Idk that even Alamancılar (Turks in Germany) claimed that. Sure, they changed some ingredients for the German appetite, but inventing… Is there any chance that they used this claim as the selling point of the food?
