“You are fired” sounds very decisive and feels like what we need for our country.

However when someone is laid off, they disappear off the balance sheet of a company but not the country. So a company and country are very different.

A country is still responsible for the laid-off and their families.

My family had been through such an ordeal and the uncertainty is painful!
